The conventional lamp belt is composed of series connection and parallel connection, and each group of lamp string is composed of three lamp beads and resistance in series connection. The function of resistance is to limit current and protect led. Combined with the working voltage of LED lamp beads, the working voltage of each group of lamp string is 12V.

If many groups are connected in parallel, the voltage of each group is the same, and they can work normally. That's why we can cut them where there are scissors symbols.

For 12V light bar, there are generally 3 light beads in each group, and the cutting distance is generally 5cm.

The cutting distance is generally 10cm.

The precautions of LED light belt are as follows:

1. Please do not light up the LED strip when the LED strip is in one roll, which will cause excessive heat to burn the LED strip.

2. It can only be cut at the place where the scissors mark is printed on the lamp body, otherwise one unit will not light up.

3. When installing, please bend the lamp belt to one side to expose 2-3mm copper wire, and cut it clean with scissors without burr to avoid short circuit.

4. Do not turn on the power during the installation or assembly of the light band. Only when the light band is connected and correctly installed can the power be turned on.

5. When installing LED light strip in cold temperature, it can be powered on for a few minutes to make the light body soft and easy to bend, and then power off for installation.

6. During installation and use, please do not strike the lamp tube with heavy objects or shake it.

7. If it is waterproof, the tail end of the lamp belt must be covered with the tail plug and glued firmly to ensure the waterproof.

8. Only two lamp strips with the same specifications and voltage can be connected in series with each other, and the total length of the connection shall not exceed the maximum allowable length.

9. Each interface must be firm without short circuit hidden danger. When installing outdoors, each interface must be sealed with glass glue or other appropriate methods to ensure water entering into each interface.

10. Can not be installed in water, flammable, explosive environment, must ensure that the use of good ventilation environment.

11. Do not use iron wire and other metal materials to fasten the lamp tube, so as to avoid the iron wire falling into the lamp tube, causing short burning of the lamp band.

12. The power supply voltage shall be equal to that indicated on the light strip, and appropriate safety devices shall be installed.

Finally, the connection mode of the controller is described. Led running lamp belt and RGB full-color lamp belt need to use controller to realize the changing effect, and the control distance of each controller is different. Generally speaking, the control distance of simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, the control distance of remote controller is 15 to 20 meters, and the longest distance can be controlled to 30 meters. If the connection distance of LED light strip is long, and the controller can not control such a long light strip, then the power amplifier is needed for tapping.

In the actual operation process, we must pay attention to the connection distance of LED light band. Generally speaking, the longest connection distance of 3528 series LED strip is 20 meters, and the longest connection distance of 5050 series LED strip is 15 meters. If it exceeds the connection distance, the LED strip is easy to heat, which will affect the service life of the LED strip. Therefore, the installation must be carried out according to the requirements of the manufacturer, and the LED lamp must not be overloaded.
